it’s not
easy, that is,
to let a warm breeze
change my life

or stay
and not run
when infested
with fear

times come
when I feel like I
do not have time
for time

but then
it happens
without
notice

the earth opens
revealing
what is

always

The Pride

a meadow breeze
bends the green grass through
rocks and rests
on the edge of day
up to the evening dew
and settles for
all to see
on a tiny tip of blue
a sway of dragonfly
bids the sun
pass through

there to pause
to spin a tale
of how we come
and how we go
before one can ask

when

how will I know
